The Magnetic Fields ha anunciado una nueva colección llamada Quickies. Cuenta con 28 nuevas canciones cortas de Stephin Merritt que duran menos de tres minutos. Quickies se lanzará en cinco EP de vinilo el 15 de mayo a través de Nonesuch. También estará disponible digitalmente y en un solo CD. Stephin Merritt se une a Quickies por sus compañeros de banda Sam Davol, Claudia Gonson, Shirley Simms y John Woo. Chris Ewen, Daniel Handler y Pinky Weitzman también aparecen en la colección.
