The Who ha anunciado un nuevo boxset recopilatorio de 155 pistas, titulado Who’s Next/Life House, junto con una novela gráfica basada en el álbum conceptual de ciencia ficción de la banda, Life House. La oferta masiva saldrá el 15 de septiembre.
Entre los diversos paquetes ofrecidos, Who’s Next/Life House llega como un set de 3xLP, 4xLP o 2xCD que incluye una versión remasterizada del quinto álbum seminal de la banda de 1971 y acetatos remezclados de las demos de Life House de Pete Townshend. Una edición Super Deluxe de 10xCD cuenta con 89 pistas inéditas, demostraciones de sesiones de estudio y sencillos tomados de 1970 a 1972, y dos grabaciones de conciertos de 1971 del Teatro Young Vic de Londres y el Auditorio Cívico de San Francisco, así como varios accesorios de la gira, una camiseta de la banda y carteles de actuaciones en Sunderland, Inglaterra el 7 de mayo de 1970 y el Denver Coliseum en Denver el 10 de diciembre de 1971.
La caja también proporciona abundante material de lectura con un libro de tapa dura de 100 páginas que presenta una introducción de Pete Townshend junto con fotos de archivo y recuerdos. Además, The Who finalmente presentará Life House – The Graphic Novel, la epopeya visual de 172 páginas originalmente programada para su lanzamiento en 2020. El cómic fue supervisado personalmente por Townshend y escrito por James Harvey y David Hine, con arte de Harvey Max Prentis, letras de Micha Myers y tintas de Mick Gray.
